Third in Japanese Language Speech Competition

WA Japanese Language Speech Competition Success

Congratulations to Year 12 student, Angelo Yu who has won third place in the Senior High School Division of the WA Japanese Language Speech Competition.  It was held at the University of Western Australia on Saturday, 27th August 2016.

This event was organised by WA Japanese Language Teachers’ Association and the University Of Western Australia and was supported by the Consulate – General of Japan in Perth, The Japan Foundation of Sydney, Hyogo Prefectural Government Cultural Centre and The Japanese School in Perth.

Angelo spoke about “Life as a Vegetarian” and I am very proud of his efforts. Angelo performed magnificently and did Morley Senior High School proud.

I would like to thank all who helped to make this wonderful contest such a success.  Special thanks to Mr Ida, Mr Shinozuka, Ms Yano, Mr Anderson, Mr Onishi, Mr Kasuga, Mr John, Ms Smith, Ms Oyama, Mr Kinoshita and Ms Jacobs.
