Multi Media Program Students Impress with Rotary Logo Designs

In Term 2 the Year 10 Specialist Multi Media Program (MMP) students were set the challenge of designing a logo for the Rotary Club of Morley Community Service and Educational Foundation.  The students all stepped up to the challenge to produce an impressive array of logos that wowed the judges.

The Year 10 MMP students presented their designs to a panel of industry experts, explaining their design concepts and selling why their logo should be the design of choice.  Tony Pinnegar, Rotary Club of Morley Community Service and Educational Foundation President, said the judges were “extremely impressed with the passion and thought expressed by students when making their presentations to us and stated that their submissions were of a very high standard”.

The judges ultimately chose Joseph Tabadero’s design as the winning logo. His design will now be used by the foundation as their logo.  Joseph will also receive a cash prize of $100 and a printing voucher to the value of $50.

The other winners are listed below.

· First: Joseph Tabadero ($100 plus a $50 voucher)

· Second: Jazlyn Davies ($50 plus a $50 voucher)

· Third: John Ho ($25 plus a $50 voucher)

· Special commendation: Richason Nguyen ($50 voucher)

All students involved produced outstanding designs and gained valuable design industry experience, producing a logo design for a client and pitching their logos to the external judges. Their designs stand as an example of their talents and the progress made by the MMP students during their involvement in the specialist program.
