The Morley SHS Community takes the challenge...

The relatives of Ms Patience Johnson, a Year 12 student from 2014 who sadly passed away from Cancer recently, asked the school community for assistance in fundraising to send the casket of Patience back to Liberia (Africa).  It was decided to run a series of fundraising activities during the last week of Term 2.

It was truly amazing to see the Morley SHS community come together, and with generous donations from local businesses, we could see our school motto “Together we Achieve” come into action.

The fundraising efforts raised a grand total of $4010.00.

1. Staff and Parent donations $1,520

2. Cake Stall $950

3. Staff Luncheon $580

4. Sausage Sizzle and concert $965

A special version of  'Morley Vision' was held to remember Patience with a memorable video collage produced of her time at Morley SHS. Special thanks go to Mr Richardson and his family, Student Councillors, members of Morley Leos, the music students and Mr Brady along with the producers of Morley Vision.

The family were overwhelmed with our contributions and assistance and Patience’s casket was sent to Liberia on the 4th July.  They sincerely “Thank” everyone for their condolences and support in sending Patience’s casket back to her homeland in Africa.
