Boys Senior Basketball Team

The senior boys’ basketball team finished a stellar 2016 season during Term 2.  The team went undefeated in the five home-and-away rounds in Term 1, with wins against Balga, Hampton, Cyril Jackson, Perth Modern and Kiara.  The boys were seriously challenged in the zone final against John Septimus Roe. At half-time, the game was within reach, but JSR, however, won the match 52-27.  The Morley team qualified for the All Schools’ State knockout competition and won the first game against St. Andrews but were knocked out by Churchlands SHS in a very close game going down 37-34.

The contribution, by each player was outstanding in each game.  The boys showed great determination and teamwork, which resulted in their success this season.  Grateful thanks to the team: Eme Hashimimana, Nigel Adonis, Kristian Manzanelli, Yngwie Dialogo and Shaakir Kandhai. A special mention must also be made to the following Year 12 students who have been a part of our team for three consecutive seasons: Karim Hafza, Vince De Sierra, Juan Trazona, Abdurrahmaan Bruce and our 2016 team Captain, Dom Papa.

Congratulations are due to all the boys who played in the most successful basketball team to ever represent Morley Senior High School.
